Meet Big Red! Big Red is a handsome and sleek 50 lb. Black Lab mix. His estimated DOB is 5/5/24. Poor Red was dealt a rough hand in this life. His foster dad saw a post online about a dog tied up and abandoned at the park & ride near his house, so he drove down to check it out… Red must have freed himself somehow and hobbled right up to him. He had a clear injury, which turned out to be a broken femur. Red is healing and gets around fine. He is a happy and friendly guy. He is pretty laid back and happy just to be with you. He lives with small dogs and does well with them. He has also been around big dogs and cats and done fine with them. He loves to ride in the truck and lounge on the couch. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter can track the van using the Life360 app and receive updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed about dogs on transport. Please make sure you can use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog's transport journey. *Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over a year old. *Listed breed is based on a best-guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption. *Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption. *All our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
